Thank you for your interest in modelling for Tøs Journal – a publication for sex workers by sex workers. Please make sure you read this page before submitting any photographic work.
Consent
By submitting this form you consent to the photographs you provide being published on the Tøs Journal website, social media, print magazine and other advertising collateral. We ask that you submit these photos under a pseudonym, stage name or work name. Due to the nature of these photos however you understand, that your face will be identifiable. If you are not already ‘out’ as a sex work, you may want to consider what ramifications this may have for you.
Payment & License
You will be paid $500 for your work with Tøs Journal. This includes photographing and submitting photographs in accordance with the brief you were provided. You will provide Tøs Journal with an exclusive license to publish this work. You still retain ownership of your work however the images you produce for Tøs Journal can not be published or reproduced by another brand or publication. You can, of course, still publish these on your social media, blog or portfolio.

Tøs Journal is also a part of a PhD research project by Tøs Journal editor and sex worker Ruby Summers (pseudonym).
Please read this information carefully. Ask questions about anything that you don’t understand or want to know more about. Before deciding whether or not to take part, you might want to talk about it with a relative or friend.
Submission to Tøs Journal and subsequent participation in this research is voluntary. If you don’t wish to take part, you don’t have to.
Why is Tøs Journal also a research project? What does this mean for members of the sex industry?
Tøs Journal is a part of a PhD research project that will investigate how independent publishing can provide beneficial platforms for specific communities, in this case, sex workers.
In order to achieve the objectives of the project, we want to produce an independent lifestyle publication for sex workers by sex workers.
Limited research has been done in the field of sex worker peer-publishing and independent magazine publishing in Australia. This research seeks to address this.
This project aims to provide a platform for sex workers to tell their stories in their own words.

Your submission of any work to Tøs Journal will act as implied consent that you wish to participate in the research project. Before making a submission to Tøs Journal please ensure you have;
